Screen wont come back on using "touch"

That works fine with the screen/keyboard/mouse setup. however, I added the touch panel(no keyboard/mouse) and when the screen turns off, I can't wake it up using the touch panel.
Anyone know if there's a setting I can change to allow the touch panel to wake the computer?
If I hit the power button for a quick moment, the screen turns back on, but I was thinking that the touch screen should allow to wake as well.
