Parallel printer and serial port ?

I want to know if the device can run at parallel port with standard address for LPT1: port 378h IRQ7 threw the USB connection? And also standard port for COM1: I/O port 0x3F8, IRQ 4 addressing? We have a device that communicates with software the requires these standard parameters so I would like to know before we start to develop this hard ware. We are trying to not have to rewrite our software to work. We were looking at a total rewrite just to work with the Raspberry Pi.
