Lattepanda with Arduino

Hello,

Would anyone know if the Lattepanda's built-in Arduino:

1.) Draws its power directly from the Lattepanda (that is, "needs no dedicated power source of its own".)

2.) Utilizes any special commands due to its being integrated with the Lattepanda.

And if anyone could point me to the best starting point for reading about the Lattepanda with Arduino, it would be much appreciated.
