default graphics settings

I am trying to hook up a lattepanda thru a vnc to a tablet.

Problem is the application I wrote needs a resolution of 1280x768 but the panda sets the display to 800x600.
this obviously will not work.

How can I adjust the resolution to work correctly, Please understand there is no monitor physically connected to the panda.

any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
