Linux Distros will not install

I have attempted to install clean Ubuntu and mint Distros, they will not install. I choose install and they get to the attached screen. then the monitor looses signal and the panda just does nothing. No activity on the USB stick or anything. Windows installed just fine. I really want to dual boot with Mint if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
