LattePanda Alpha Power button

Hello, I received my Lattepanda Alpha about a week ago and love it. Today the power button broke. The button fell out and I could not find it. I am proficient at soldering and while looking at the board figured the to holes on either side of where the power button sat would control the power control pins. I removed the old power button and attempted to tap into the holes but now learned that these don't control the power. Can you give me some information on tapping into the power button?
