LattePanda Alpha Static Noise When Powered

So I finally got around to opening and playing with my LattePanda Alpha today, and I've already noticed a bit of a problem. When I connect power, I get a sort of high-pitched squeaking/static noise. The fan isn't on, and there are no parts moving. It appears to come from under the heatsink with the fan, which I've been avoiding pulling up, just in case someone already has an answer on this. Performance seems fine, but I've played with enough electronics to know that these chips shouldn't be making that sound. Did I just get a defective board, or is there a part that actually should be making this sound? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
