3 Delta m.2 SATA connector not working

I got my 3 Delta yesterday and went to town trying to set the system up.

My goal is to have trunas scale (the linux version) running on the device w/ 3 SATA SSDs attached to it.

I have an NVME drive in the NVME slot and in the other I have the below 5-port SATA connector.

I cannot for the life of me get this thing to work. It almost appears as though it isn't getting enough power as none of the led indicators light up when connected to drives.

I'm also getting this error in the trunas cli:

usb2-port6: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?

What should the bios settings be for this? I do have a 2 port sata connector but I seem to have misplaced it so I have been unable to test if that works, I was shooting for a 3-way zfs mirror instead of 2-way mirror + spare all tucked away in a 1u chassis on my rack.

I'll update this if I can find the 2-port board, if not - any help/alternative approaches would be most appreciated!
