Cannot Get Ribbon Cable into eDP Display

I cannot get the black ribbon cable to go into the connector on the 7" eDP touch display. It went it perfect on the Delta 3 as did the touch cable, but no matter what I do, I cannot get that black cable into the display. The left side slides in, but the right side refuses as though there is a blockage or something. I was real careful with the connector, carefully flipping it to the open position with tweezers. The cable is unblemished and is in perfect condition.

Any suggestions? Thanks
