How to Disable MIPI in the BIOS on LattePanda V1 to Resolve HDMI Display Issues
💿Background:
The LattePanda V1 offers both MIPI and HDMI video output interfaces. Some users have reported encountering issues with window duplication and reduced display resolution when only an HDMI screen is connected without a MIPI screen. Although this can be temporarily fixed by adjusting display settings to "Show only on 2," the issue may reappear after a reboot. To permanently resolve this issue, the MIPI interface should be disabled in the BIOS. Below are the detailed steps to do so.
⚠️Note: Once MIPI-DSI is turned off, the MIPI display will no longer function.
📝Steps:
1. Access the BIOS: During the boot process, when the LattePanda logo appears on the screen, press the 'ESC' key repeatedly until the BIOS setup interface is entered.
2. Modify BIOS Settings to Disable MIPI
Navigate to the 'North Bridge' option using the keyboard arrow keys within the BIOS menu.
1️⃣ BIOS menu --> North Bridge --> IGD-LCD Control --> MIPI DSI --> Disabled;
2️⃣ BIOS menu --> North Bridge --> Intel IGD Configuration --> Panel Configuration --> EDP
After completing the above steps, your LattePanda V1 will output video signals solely through HDMI, eliminating the previously encountered display issues.
