You Reply: Well, never use a 2,4GHz wireless radio keyboard/mouse dongle in LattePanda USB ports next to its wifi chip/antenna. It causes interferences, so wifi will be unstable/slow. If you really want to use it, plug the dongle to an USB hub with long cable, and try to put it as far as you could from the LP's wifi.
Or use wired keyboard/mouse instead. I don't have bluetooth keyboard/mouse so I don't know would it cause any problem

You Reply: Digging the attributes of wifi:
"Minimum Power Consumption: Enables usage of 802.11 Power Save mode. This is when the radio can be temporarily powered off or scanning disabled when not associated to an access point or when the computer is idle."
default is enabled: - should be disable

You Reply: Well, at my workplace it runs flawlessly, youtube videos played great, linux iso could be download more than 1MByte/sec so it seems the alternative driver helped / or my worplace wifi router is more compatible with LP
In that case I start to use it more efficient for a week, test other features (arduino, SD card, etc) but thanks to your support and advice I don't want to send it back now.
-
You Reply: I've installed the alternative driver you mentioned, now there are positions where I can measure 25MBPS download speed (internet speedtest) and 2~3MBPS copy speed between LP and NAS.
I will do further investigation with other wifi routers.

You Reply: I've heard rumours about tablet mode issues, but all the five machines I've upgrade to 1607 remained in desktop mode.
I use ESET NOD32 'cause I buy gamer magazines montly and they provide a free licence request code for a month, so I use it for all my families stuffs (there are many ) But I have to think over it because from windows 10 it behave more and more agressive. Two weeks before the expiration starts yelling to renew the licence, and when expired, "block" the working because of "danger" Also on my Dell notebook, windows said after the anniversary update, that it will block ESET work, and start windows defender because version "incompatibility". Otherwise ESET refresh its database daily, defender seems to hande it as a windows update

You Reply: Hmm, something strange happened. I have a HP TC4200 Laptop-Tablet, an old fellow, with single core CPU from the XP era. I could upgrade it from Windows 7 to Windows 10, but the anniversary update failed. After a first restart it turned off completelly and next restart the 1511 restored. I thought , ok this is the EOL, no more updates. But because of LP installation fail, I've search the net about fixing installation problems. One page suggested, that for old laptop, should be usefull if you disconnect power, remove the battery, after a while put it back, reconnect power cord and restart the installation. So I did it. When I run the previously downloaded installer (Windows10Upgrade28084.exe Filever: 1.4.9200.17349), it starts refreshing itself (to Filever: 1.4.9200.17353), restart and start the dowload. When the first restart happened, it not stopped, just start to install. It restarted itself two times, arould 23% and 75%, and voilá! the 1607 is on my tiny litte machine. I don't really know what would helped, the battery removing or the newer version of install file, but if the second one, it gives me hope, that without any additional research, my LP install also will be succesfull.

You Reply: So you gave up mobility

You Reply: Thanks
By the way: what about your LP's wifi? Does it works well, or you also have problem with its speed?
-
You Reply: I rewrote my previous post, I thought there is two product line because the huge difference between the os build, but not. So I'll check logfiles tonight, when I'll be at home (and have time for it) But it is still annoying, that my LP has a problem which reject the update.
-
You Reply: I've just wanted to upgrade all my equipments during a few days and forget it. And I was upset why some guy could do it with LP, and why I am not.
I wanted the update for one more reason: I hoped that migh be my weak/slow wifi problems will be solving wit it.
When the forced update fail, a white border had flashed for a milisec, (probably a command line window) but when the system restored no popup windows with error messages, nor messages on the task bar. Maybe I should do some research for a log file, but I use my LP with a 7" LCD, so first I need to install a VNC or TeamViewer
(meanwhile I've checked for a colleauge's laptop, there's no two kind of product line, when (if) my LP can install anniversary update, 10586.545 will to move 14393.51. So I have to check logfiles, why my LP refuse it.)

You Reply: When I click on "check for updates", after a while it says my windows is up-to-date.
When I click on "Learn more" , it directs me to a webpage where I can download Windows10Update28084.exe and when it really start update, after 17% it fails. Then restore 1511 build.
I've tried with the original BIOS, then I've flashed auto boot BIOS, the result is the same.
Could you share your BIOS's main/important settings, might be it will help?

You Reply: Interesting, mine looks like this:

It seems to a totally different product line: yours is a desktop/notebook version, mine looks like a mobile device version.
I wonder are you use the original install, or you reinstall it from dust?
Mine on the firts run stucked in "Just a moment" state, so I reinstalled it with the image provided LP team on github.attachments:

You Reply: So, I've made a little research, and I've found that such devices like LP the latest update is:
August 9, 2016 — KB3176493 (OS Build 10586.545), a "so-called" pre-anniversary update. But this is still 1511 build, not 1607. For us (mobile devices?) it hasn't released yet.
Question is: whose were reported to got anniversary update may don't know what it means - expect they are joined to "insider program".....
-
You Reply: I've also have problems with wifi, usually the weak signal/speed. I've updated the driver from github, bought a new cable with an antenna connection, but not helped.
If my Dell notebook and LP lies next each other I can measure internet speed test on Dell about 24MBPS-down/4MBPS up, LP has 1MBPS/4MBPS. If I share my mobile internet, LP has 12MBPS download speed, next to my mobile phone.
I've expect wifi improvement from anniversary update, but I can't install it yet. LP didn't offer it, so I went to MS page and downloaded the updater, but after 17% install, LP restart and restore build 1511.
I've upgrade BIOS to autoboot one, but 1607 built install still failed.
I have a 4GB/64GB LP.
How did you managed the anniversary update?
