  • You Reply: Hi, I'm posting from my newly arrived (30 minutes old) LP.
Preliminary tests indicate everything is fine. I'm going to shut it down, install the fan and heatsinks, then boot it back up when I have the time to begin exploring it's possibilities properly.

Thank you for resolving my issues in a thoughtful and timely manner, much obliged.

I just replied to your email but forgot to mention the version of my LP which is 2GB 32GB MMC.
I'll also forward this info via email.

    Thanks again,

If LattePanda team wants to create a loyal customer base they will need to respond to all queries in a prompt manner.

At the moment it looks like they respond randomly and never look back. They really need to hire someone to just monitor the comments page on KS and the forum. Otherwise you may just re-enforce the stigma you are trying to correct.
Doesn't inspire confidence does it. The life blood of their endeavor, the backers, seem to be the last things on their minds. I think I'll just keep having to leave messages on kickstarter and bump this thread every few days until someone official can be bothered to do something.

lattepanda wrote:@Webobject, It's normal that the unit becomes warm. Have your tried to replace another USB cable or power adatper to figure out if any component of the power system is not working after that?
Hello, could you please check the message I left for you on kickstarter, I've been unable to reply for a while due to a family trauma. I'm positive that my board has a hardware fault. Could you please detail an RMA/return procedure?

    Thank you

So would you mind to share your working environment? Something like your power supply, connection, where you place the board or your local temperature. This might be greatly helpful for us to estimate the issue. Even simulate your problem from our side to figure out if it's a hardware problem.
Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

Enviornment: The board is well ventilated, uncased, placed at a slight incline on a wooden surface allowing airflow underneath, Ambient room temperature hovers around 15C,

Power supply: Genuine Apple Ipad switchmode PSU with a very stable 5V output @2.5amps -- Unit ran for 5 hours on this fine. (I settled on the Ipad PSU after trying two others initially -- A 2A powered USB hub and a 2amp raspberry pi PSU)

Cables: My HDMI has no problems, initially a micro USB cable i was using turned out to be inadequate, I replaced it with a better quality more subtancial one which worked fine.

The unit was running untouched for 45 minutes, playing a youtube video when it failed.
On power on, the arduino seems to initialise and run the blink sketch which flashes the blue LED on the top @ 50ms high and 500ms low, as i set in the sketch initially. Also immediately on power on the red LED on the underside illuminates and stays on. The red led stays on for the duration that power is applied and there is no other activity. No video. The unit becomes warm to touch on the underside.

    Thanks for your considerations.

Sure. Our tech guy will help to provide some suggestion on the forum later. And if possible, please try to re-install your windows system following the guide below!

    http://www.lattepanda.com/?page_id=5#Ho ... ows_system?

It's rare that the system crash after working a short time. We run the 24/7 hours and high stress testing for our system. Hope it's just a unstable system issue.

    Look forward to your updates!

Thank you very much for your reply,

I don't think a system crash is responsible for the problem. There is no means of reinstalling windows as the unit will not initialise. There is no video output, no access to bios. The unit is completely unresponsive..
