  • You Reply: None. Maybe even very bad luck. I don't believe that you guys would take either of them now. I'll probably be getting something else to replace this. Thanks for your help but I don't believe I will be getting another Panda anytime soon without a steep discount. I really support what you guys are doing, but I don't believe I should continue this at the rate I'm going.

Side note... What is the model of the BIOS exactly so I might buy a new one? I assume they're pretty cheap. That would be the last resort if I choose to pursue it.

Thanks again for your help and time. Keep doing what you guys do.
  • You Reply: Thank you for your reply.
What were you running when it suddenly shut off?
Windows Media Player and maybe Firefox.
Were you using a screen kit?
    Yes.
If you are not even getting the blue Arduino pin13 light this might suggest a short as you say. How hot does it get?
Warm to the touch and no lights anywhere.
You can try performing a hard reset:
Tried. Thanks for the suggestion though.

There is no way of telling what is going on exactly. All I know is that it gets warm and must be drawing power. I have tried the micro USB port for power as well as the CN2 pins.

On another note... The first Panda that I received is still somewhat responsive. This is the one with the drill mishap. It no longer has a micro USB plug on it (because of the drill), but I can still power it via the CN2 pins. When I provide power the blue light seems to do its usual routine (on for a few seconds then off), but the red light just flashes (a little faster than once/second). Also, when I hold or just press the reset button, the red light stops flashing for about 5 seconds.

Again, thank you for your reply. Any further help would be appreciated. I should be receiving one of those bios editing things tomorrow. I'm hoping that I can bring at least one of these boards back with that.
  • You Reply: Finally got my panda in the car and working for the most part. Still a few bugs to be worked out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. First, I'm getting a lot of noise through my speakers. Grounding the panda seemed to help out a lot so far. Unfortunately some static is still making it's way through.
I also just noticed that the higher the car heater is turned (speed) the less noise there is coming through everything. Weird.

Second, the speakers on the front channel work, but only when the volume is low. Once it gets much past about 1/4 volume they start cracling and cutting out like crazy. I can't imagine that could be caused by the panda though. My guess is that its due to bad ground on the amp or something like that.

Thats all I can think of at the moment. I'll probably try to get those working tomorrow. Hopefully you guys can help me out a lil bit.
  • You Reply: Finally got it in the mail today. 4G/64G version. It came pre-installed with Win 10. Thought I was gonna have to buy a copy for it? Guess not. At least not so far. Anyways I'll prolly be starting this project tomorrow or Saturday. Will keep yas posted.
