Hi, Good day!
Could you please share how to update to windows 10 version 1709. Many thanks.
Are you running the Windows 10 that comes with the LattePanda?
I have minimal experience with that Windows 10, I am running Win10 from a retail DVD rom disc.
But I simply kept on running Windows Update from the control panel until I got to 1709, it took several days. -

Hi, the screen has been launched but without touchscreen now. Let's wait for the touch.
here is the link: https://www.dfrobot.com/product-1501.html
Very nice looking little monitor, the resolution is better than others I've seen around the price isn't too bad,
I personally like using 1080p with my LattePanda, but right now I'm using a portable USB powered 1080p.
It was fairly pricey, but the cost would have been almost double for having a touch interface.
Do you know how much more expensive that little 10" would be with the touch also? -

Keep the suggestions up!
We have definitely heard the overheating problems have addressed them accordingly.
e.g. The MarkII series will ship with a passive heatsink installed which will also be compatible with a cooling fan.
The fan can also be controlled in the BIOS with regards to its speed and time, so its customizable.
Let us know more!
Awesome! I always prefer performance over noise control, but I know that some people prefer having a quiet computer.
Will there be any other new bios features or options? Like emmc raid? (j/k) :p -
You Reply: I mostly use my LattePanda as a portable desktop computer for when I do my monthly trips to California.
I could drag one of my three laptops with me, but I really enjoy cool little computers. :p
If the new LattePanda comes with its own case that would be cool, but being able to access different ports or features directly on the motherboard is always great.
I never did find out if anyone was able to overclock any of the CPU's used so far by the LattePanda's so far?
Besides overclocking the CPU for self gratification, I can imagine that someone would find it useful to underclock the CPU for lower power usage and heat.
Will the CPU be on the top or bottom of the system board?
Will the new LattePanda still use 5volt 3-4 amps USB for power?
Normally I prefer a regular AC adapter than USB, like the newer generations of Odroid have dropped USB and use AC adapter instead.
But, I found a fairly pricey 24,000 mAh USB power bank that can provide 5v 3ams and can run my LattePanda quite well.
I often run my LattePanda off of battery now along with a USB powered LCD monitor, so portability is a pretty big feature for me.
Will there be anyway to directly connect a battery pack to the LattePanda? So that the LattePanda can report the battery levels to OS like a laptop or a phone can? I've only seen a few small computers like the Raspberry Pi offer this.
The last feature for me is Linux, I really really like OpenSuSE Linux, I run Linux two out of three of my Laptops, and I'm trying my hardest to move away from Windows.
Oya will the new LattePanda offer a 8GB memory option? If I remember correctly the Intel processors in this class top out at 8GB with the newer generations offering DDR4.
Anyways there is Alot of options out there for products similar to the LattePanda!
So far I'm happy with mine!
I look forward to the next generation of LattePanda!

You Reply: I am new on to the Latte Panda scene, so far I'm enjoying it, I'm not going to be doing any
maker projects or build any robots, I just really enjoy tiny computers and if a revision 3.0
system board is released I will jump on it if enough worth while improvements are included.
For me I really like having a removable eMMC card on it. I have a feeling my Latte Panda
has the eMMC chip underneath the top metal plate, I've been itching to pop that sucker off
and try poking at it, but I haven't had the heart to potentially wreck it just yet. :p
A removable eMMC card would allow for storage upgrades, but also replacing chips with
different OS's installed on them, kinda like how people would swap out SD cards on
Raspberry Pi's.
But if not for a eMMC card, why not a m.2 slot, or a sata port? Any option is good for me,
as long it offers flexibility.
Otherwise the only other real feature that I want right now is more Linux friendly features,
I have not had a chance to learn about all of these new bios features and Windows 10,
like the UEFI, TPM, and there's probably a few other things that Microsoft needs in the bios
to make Windows 10 better, some how...
Is it possible to have a Latte Panda with a more basic bios/firmware? That's more Linux friendly?

You Reply: Heh for what its worth once I get my 64GB LattePanda I'm going to install OpenSuSE Leap 42.3. :p
I guess I'll also get to find out how well OpenSuSE runs with using a microSD card for my home folder...

You Reply: I've heard of people using generic laptop LCD panels with different ARM boards or custom made
HDMI controllers that you put on the back of the LCD panels.
You can find 15" and 17" laptop LCD panels on eBay and Newegg.
I purchased a GeChic 15" USB powered HDMI monitor, I can run the thing while in my car. :p
I think GeChic makes monitors up to 17", they do have touch screen versions that cost twice
as much as the non-touch versions, I bought the non-touch version because its cheaper,
and I would rather use my wireless keyboard and mouse anyways.

You Reply: That's something that I am interested in, I just ordered my LattePanda off of Amazon,
I'm personally planning on installing OpenSuSE on mine, but I do have some Windows 7
install discs on my shelf too. I have only heard about people running Windows 10 and
some folks trying to get Ubuntu and other Linux's installed.

You Reply: One of the very first things that I plan on doing with my LattePanda once I get the little guy is to find a good water block for it.
Which water block did you use?
Also unless I'm wrong, isn't the CPU on the bottom of the board?
I'm tempted to remove both of the little metal plates, place a nice little water block directly on the CPU,
and put those little heat sinks that everyone uses on just about everything else.
I'm mostly going to do this because I have a full water cooling setup right now, but I recently retired
my desktop computer and am only running a laptop, so I gotta find something to use my pump
and all of these hoses for.
Also I'm not really planning on making my LattePanda portable, so why not?
