Yes CHAG, Sure. Please contact with Mouser to get quick local replacement directly! And we will assign our product team to review all stocks for the problem you mentioned!

Let me know if it works.
    Hi Panda,

Mouser accepted to refund Pandas and send a new order. Actually they did only send one instead of 2 but I'm sure we're getting this solved.

Our first RMA shipping to you did show new progress after 4 weeks of waiting:
The shipment has left the import parcel center in the destination country.

calpin wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 6:22 am @Chag, How do you supply the 12v? Can you share more details?
We submit your question to our engineers and they want more information before can figure out the reason.
    Hello Calpin,

    sry I overlooked your requests.

We have a 48V-57,6V source input from 4 car batteries for our complete mobile system.
48V is only used by power electronics (motors).
We use 2 of the 4 batteries to have a 24-28,8V power supply for all controllers and logical elements.

-Attached to that 24-28,8V we use a DC-DC:
    LY-KREE K241205
    IN: 24V (15V-40V)
    OUT: 12V 5A (60W)
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/DealMux-Waterp ... B01EZQEI4I

This DC-DC is directly and only connected to Latte Panda IO shields green power connector (7V-12V).

-The IO shield got modified with a optical based voltage splitter to sense activity of 48V system on a Panda 5V IO port (No. 9).

-Offical LattePanda 30mm micro fan/cooler attached To IO Shield 5V power

-Hdmi Slot is using a "noname" HDMI HD Dummy to enable remote without any display or lid attached.

-USB 3.0 has an passiv 4 Ports USB slim hub attached. Consumers attached to this hub are:

*ST Micro Electronics Nucleo F446RE Dev board USB flash module (the uC board itself is powered from another curcuit via external input)
    https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/ ... 446re.html

*Dunker/MiControl USB CAN Stick (power usage max. 100mA)
    https://www.micontrol.de/en/products/ov ... view_mican

*Pilz SPS System. Externally 24V powered but admintrated via USB.
    https://www.pilz.com/en-GB/eshop/001010 ... NOZ-mm0p-T

(Not seeing this combo uses more than 500mA via USB)

-USB 2.0 lower port has one device attached:

*VSCOM UsbCAN using <500mA. It's USB 2.0 conform and shouldn't overstress this usb port.
    http://www.vscom.de/usb-can-plus.html

    -The only bios changes are:
    Force lid off: yes
    Boot on power : yes

The whole system has power buffering caps to ensure stable voltages during on/off moments of the power electronics.

System controllers(including Panda) are powered on when plugging in an combinated highend plug, there's no switch or something like that.
So usually Panda boots together with all other controllers. But the IO Shield damage cases also happened when additional controllers
where turned off, power electronics also not attached to system.

The Panda shutdown is managed gently by IO trigger and windows script via Arduino Standard Firmata.
Constant regular workload of Panda is swapping from 30-60%

I hope this gives you a picture
  • You Reply: Not sure if a normal desktop PSU works well. I believe they have their focus on producing 12v along with 3,3v and 5v.
Maybe it's better to use a good quality 5V DC along with an USB DVD Drive powered via Panda USB. Display can have it's own optimized PSU.
Also Panda is using very little power and will make even smaller Computer PSUs (250W) run at bad efficency.
  • You Reply: Hi,

this is all from the same mouser.com order of 4 Panda, 4 Shield, 4 Cooper coolings.
So currently running RMA (1Panda+Shield) is from same order as the new RMA of 2 Panda + 1(2) shield.
1x The IO 12V case is the same as before.
1x The USB case is new problem that happend (or maybe another result of IO Shield error too)

Our total amount is 10 Pandas 6 IO Shields. Where obviously 2 shields and 1 Panda were broken but the broken shields also killed 2 healty Pandas.
We have 4 Pandas and shields up and running. 2 pairs newly assembled and 2 pairs are running for over 6 month now.

Here's link to previous post that lead to RMA via Mail. The current parcel status is "arrived in target country" so it's correct that you don't have recorded feedback about this case in you db yet.

  • You Reply: Do you use a cooler? My feeling is that without cooling everything starts to lag like hell after 30-60min.
If you restart hot then it'll lag again after a few minutes.
Since we use active cooling this problem is gone.

    Just an idea...
  • You Reply: Well, I investigated and the IO Shields DC-DC seems to be broken from stock.
It passes the given Input voltages to Pandas 5V In.

So my Panda received 12V for a few seconds, any chance to repair the power input?
  • You Reply: Thx for the reply Panda!

Cloning with Clonezilla works like a sharm. 20gb install is written or read in 10 minutes at about 2gb/min.

Sadly i run into troubles doing the windows reactivation.
I canceled the key from the master panda/image by "slmgr /upk <act id>.
Before overwriting new pandas i saved their key via "the" vb script linked in this froum.

But after puting the image on a new panda it somehow does online reg automaticly to the master pasndas key.
Trying to put in the original key via "slmgr /ipk <key>" is refused.

Any ideas if i have to "call re-activate" the original hardwares key?
I actually have 3 pandas on the same master key ... working :/ I fear MS might lock the Key.

You say contact e-mail is the way to go ?
  • You Reply: Forum search didn't show results before but I see some talk about this topic.

-Windows key can be read from registration.
-There's a tutorial using Clonezilla using several usb flash devices.

Anyways my question about the strategy of updating the key is still actual.
Will the preactivated key be saved inside uefi/hardware when removing the original windows install. Or is there need to save it via readout before?

And is there a more comfortable way today to clone the panda setup than this 2017 Clonezilla tutorial?
