You Reply: The USB header does work for me.
Some 4 pin connections required inverting the D+ D- wires.
Alternatively you could try finding the CMOS header & short the connection... (Old school trick)

You Reply: You can use PyMata API library to set the PULLUP value via pinmode in Python or use Firmata from the Arduino IDE directly.

You Reply: I have made this work via a Relay & some Arduino code.
If anyone is interested, let me know.

You Reply: Isn't that what the Arduino controller is for?

Did you connect with Techsupport team to run the RMA program properly following their guide? Look forward to your reply!
I will help to lead the process. Thanks!
Yes of course - one response asking for the version I ordered.
But no further contact on my questions regarding a tracking number.
Dan
Is you gmail address logged the same as the one u used to contact with us? I will notify the support team to connect with u soon!
They have finally got back to me today.
After 10 days after they said they were sending my replacement, they have finally done so.
I now have a tracking number & courier at least.
Still awaiting credit for my costs...

You Reply: For others, yes you can add an additional USB port by swapping the inner wires.

Do you mean in the arduino ide? In which case when I have used them it is 0 and 1. You can also use them for serial as "Serial1". Perhaps you could explain what you are trying to achieve?
My plan is to convert an Arcade1up cabinet into a multi emulator games machine. Similar to what others are doing with the Raspberry Pi but with the more powerful Alpha
I have done a previous conversation & used the embedded 3way switch which controls volume to the GPIO pins on the Pi. I wish to do the same with the Alpha.
While I await my replacement Alpha (DOA) I thought to confirm my code below. (Note: not tested) Which is similar to the code I wrote for the Raspberry Pi

You Reply: Ok thanks I will look more into the Leonardo.
With the raspberry pi you use the I2C SCL & GND pins as as power switch. Do you think that may be possible with the Alpha? Therefore no programming?

You Reply: Ok thanks for confirming
-
You Reply: Thanks. What about using a STDP switch with the Alpha? Any thoughts on using GPIO?
-
You Reply: Already seen that, it doesn't answer my question... What would be the pin number for D0 & D1...
-
You Reply: When will I get details on my replacement LattePanda Alpha 864???
Dan
-
You Reply: I have tried another power supply with no luck.
Today I have returned the Alpha 864 as per the RMA instructions.
