You Reply: Depending on how good you are with solder you can get a wire connected to the back contacts on the switch.
However as I posted be darn careful I ended up putting to much heat into mine busted the power switch and can no longer turn it on
The switch I'm guessing connects to the power regulator (the AXP288c chip) and looks for a signal on the pwron pin but that thing is tiny and surrounded by other stuff so you have next to no chance wiring it in there.

You Reply: I ended up breaking my power switch, so went about removing it off the board.
I managed to get it off and solder two wires instead onto the solder pads and low and behold I had a soft power button!
Right up till one of them pulled the darn right hand solder pad off the board, stupidly I didn't enable auto startup or WoL so I have a perfectly good Lattepanda without any way of turning it on.
Bah should have just accepted I would have to open my project up anytime I needed to hard reboot!

You Reply: Thanks people. I hate having to cycle power just to get something to restart but alas without unsoldering the switch I guess that and the auto start on powerup will be my only options.
It may work better come to think of it seeing its hard to tell when the lattepanda is ready to start without looking at the device. Cheers!
