I had same problem had to send it back for warranty. Be warned shipping cost is on your dime, they will only reimburse a small amount and what they do reimburse is store credit only. I was not informed of that when I sent mine in
What is the repair they do on your motherboard?
I think they replaced the USB port but I’m not 100% sure -

You Reply: I’m having the similar issue, it always defaults windows as primary boot. Even if I change it to opencore and save it, super frustrating as I want it to boot opencore so I can either choose macOS or windows. Any fix? Or bios update or something

You'll have to know what your gear's spec. AHJ or OMTP. They are not compatible with each other.
Blame the industry.
LP Alpha/Delta's is OMTP type.
Use an adapter to convert in between these two.
Oh I gotcha, so my headphones could possibly be AHJ so the adapter cable would convert it to be omtp. Thanks for clarifying rhat -
You Reply: ya doenst make sense to me, i did fresh installs again to get rid of all traces of the other stuff i tried and still it always wants to boot windows even if i stick macos as boot 1

There are some detection circuit and (possibly) phantom power in MIC as well.
Call it a dark magic (or check Audio CODEC IC datasheet if you will.)
Basically, you'll need to only get three Left-Right-Ground leads out with a trivial cable, but you do have to satisfy certain conditions.
Blame modern technologies.
couldit possibly be because my headphones are a mic/headphoen combo but they only have the 1 pin not dual 1 for each -

You can create "Windows installation USB flash media". Note that it is just for installation purpose only.
USB drive is not for installation of the full Windows Operating System onto it. It is the Microsoft Windows limitation!
Re: install Windows on eMMC
I forgot the actual procedure. But I thought the correct way is to make sure BIOS setting is correct such that EMMC is recognized as a storage media (almost like a hard drive.)
Once that step is done, install the Windows through USB installation media (the flash drive) as a fresh install. It should recognize the EMMC as a possible target for installation. Choose that then continue.
thanks ended up getting it working, it messed up my hackintosh though as it put the efi on the ssd with macos instead of on the emmc. Now i need to fix that, and even though i removed the ssd during the windows install and deleted the microsoft folder from the efi folder. My boot options show the windows and the macos seperately but it also shows a UEFI os on the macos ssd and that didnt use to be there not sure what it is

Create an installer on a usb drive, the software is available on the Microsoft website. Boot from it, and install windows. There’s no special version needed, nor will you need to get ahold of any drivers. There is no special procedure to install windows on emmc when using Microsoft’s windows 10 installer. Once installed you can register windows with a key if you have one, but it doesn’t stop you using it if you don’t. Unless you bought the version of LattaPanda with windows 10 registered, an installation like this would be pretty much the same state as when you got your Panda. The only difference is that it would no longer have LattePanda under the manufacturers information in windows.
how do you select the emmc to install? I chose it and it tells me “we couldn’t create a new partition or locate an existing one.” -
You Reply: side note where do you get the drivers so i can trasnfer windows to a different hdd other then the emmc

You Reply: Is this still available? And does it work with the alpha? Would love one as a second screen for my computer to watch a movie while working

You Reply: thsnks for the response but someone out there will be able to help me set it up and once its up and running then awesome. Ive managed to get part way through the guide im getting ocnfused at one part, ill find that person who will actually take tyhe time to help and not just say "read a guide its there" or "its not easy" or "just figure it out" whole reason i bought my alpha was to hackintosh so.....

Hi Kasek
If you use lattepanda 864s, then, yes, you can run windows 10 on the emmc, and install a ssd for macOS.
The airport card and adapter use m.2 key-E port and ssd is m.2 key-M. So you can use both on the same board.
Better antenna can get better signal, depend on the usage environment. For me the one with the board is not such bad.
Thanks for the response I’ll give the antennas a try that come with it then. Happen to know if the 5mp latte panda camera will work with FaceTime? -

Hi kasek, you can't just install the lid to the board, because the 4 screw holes are on the bottom of the case.
How do you want to install your antennas? Generally the original wifi antennas are enough for personal projects.
Awe that’s to bad I found a different case I can use though so that’s good and I’ll be able to get the 7” touch screen for it as well!
Edit: on a side note will the 5mp camera work for FaceTime on a hackintosh. -
You Reply: Hey looking at this case and have a few questions I was wanting to make a hackintosh and get the Bluetooth/ wifi card and adapter. Obviously this won’t fit in the case is it possible to mount just the lid to the board and then stick some stand offs or something to raise it up off the table/surface?
I was also looking at these: https://www.amazon.com/CHAOHANG-RP-SMA- ... A2W45BBQTM
Is there room somewhere on the side of the lid to mount them for better signal? Or will the antennas the bord comes with work fine without the bottom of the case?
