You Reply: I have to agree. LTSB and LTSC use different keys (licenses)

You Reply: Yes, it is a BIOS setting... not sure which one off hand.

You Reply: I don't think anyone has been able to get the hardware COM ports working.
Let's see who else replies...

You Reply: Just installed Windows Enterprise LTSC 2019 (v1809) and it went great!
Only had to manually install the touchscreen drivers, everything else was automatic.
Manually ran Windows Update and it installed the latest LTSC updates (17763.348 and KB4482887).
Zero problems.
It still has the old "Backup and Restore (Windows 7)" so cloning via a System Image is still super easy.

You Reply: Have you tried to do an UPGRADE rather than a clean install?
Maybe the drivers will remain working after an upgrade??
NOTE:
The ENTERPRISE version of LP contains "Enterprise LTSB 2016".
ENTERPRISE LTSB 2016 and IOT ENTERPRISE 2016 are the exact same OS, just different licensing. I believe they are still the same for the 2019 release.
NOTE: MS changed the name from "LTSB" to "LTSC" for the 2019 release.
Hopefully LP Enterprise will start shipping with LTSC 2019 (v1809) instead of LTSB 2016 (v1607).

You Reply: We use the 2G version and run a data intensive program.
We see no difference between it and the 4G.

You Reply: Do you have an update for the 10" display and for the touchscreen?
Thanks!

You Reply: YES, AND IT IS EASY ...
Just use Windows "System Image" to clone a LP.
We've used this 20 times and it takes just a few clicks of a mouse. No special software.
See: https://www.lattepanda.com/topic-f6t8341.html
Using CloneZilla looks too complicated. -
You Reply: We purchased it from Digi-Key and already returned it to them for a replacement. The replacement is fine.
The problem occurred right out of the box.
We reinstalled the OS using a "System Image" from "Backup and Restore (Windows 7)" and the problem still occurred.

You Reply: Can you get into Bios... press ESC or DEL when booting?
LattePandas come licensed with a key OR unlicensed without a key. Which did you purchase?
-
You Reply: We do shut down properly but have no control over power outages.
We have disabled most of the System Recovery screens that can appear after an abnormal shutdown, so they are not a problem.
--> bcdedit /set {current} bootstatuspolicy ignoreallfailures
Are there other more serious problems that can occur?

You Reply: I still have not received an answer...
With the default Bios settings, is thermal throttling and protection enabled?
-
You Reply: I don't know how to test it other than to overheat the unit... I'm not to keen on doing that.
I'm hoping "LP" knows what the setting are needed to enable protection.
-
You Reply: LP, do you have an update on when a 10" Touch Screen will be available?
Thank you!
-
You Reply: If you can power it up once, go into the Bios and set it to start up when power is applied.
